I'm starting to believe that if you want the finest food in Vancouver you need to be coming to 164th. Chutneys is no exception.\r

I've been to this restaurant about a dozen times and all I can say is that it is consistent and tasty. Usually, I order a variation of a paneer as well as veggie samosas and garlic naan. This is one place wife and I can readily agree on, she is gluten allergic. Most of their menu is gluten free. We also love the fact that food is not soaked in oil or butter. You can taste the fresh sauces with herbs. Mumtaz biryani (was a daily special last Friday) is excellent, it was prepared with chicken, lamb, shrimp in basmati rice with fresh spinach, basil, mint leaves and cashews. You can have a side of korma sauce or cucumber salad for 1.99.\r

There's so many things to like about this place it's hard to list them all. In addition, the service and decor are excellent.\r

I wholly recommend this place to anyone with a hankering for Indian.
Pros: great food worth the wait
Cons: usually takes 15-20 min to get your order
