Review content:
I have been going to Chutneys for about a year now, I used to go to the buffet place on Fourth Plain before Chutneys opened. Chutneys does not have a buffet, they serve platters (and regular menu) at lunch. They serve an assortment of samplers for platters, it usually is 2-3 vegetarian curries, tandoori chicken, dessert, fresh made naan bread and basmati rice. The curries and tandoori chicken are delicious, unlike the typical buffet restaurants that recycle left over items and keep the food in warmers for days. Naan bread is brought fresh to the table and not piled up soggy bread in the food warmer. I am very suspicious about the below posting, most indian restaurants do not sell takeouts of platters. I can't imagine that Chutneys does lunch platter takeouts. Imagine packing all of the small samplers with bread and rice when you have to deal with regular lunch crowd. I am not sure how anyone can keep the small potions of curry samplers warm in takeout containers. Our work group eats at Chutneys at least once a week, we love it! Pros: great tasting platters, fresh naan served at the table Cons: takes 15-20 minutes, worth the wait
