This is the best yarn shop/knitting store in and around Columbia. Maureen carries a great selection of high-quality yarns and she's been knitting since she was a child. She knows her stuff, inside and out. She also does custom knitting and makes needle-point Christmas stockings, but her waiting list is REALLY long. She also has a huge stash of discontinued yarns so if you don't see what you're looking for, ask her and she may pull it out of her magic bag! She carries the most current, trendy yarns and the old standbys. She has a great selection of sock yarns and lace-weight yarns. The store is only open Thursday, Friday and Saturday 11 to 3, and call ahead to make sure she's open before you make a long trip. BTW, she's in Boozer Shopping Center now, so her shop is easier to find. She has the same phone number.
