I have struggled with weight loss and hated exercise for many years. I visited several gyms in the area only to find myself very uncomfortable. To me those gyms were your typical ""skinny girls' who think they are fat(at a size 5) and basically a 'meat market"" for men. I visited Strength Beyond in Kalamazoo after my husband and kids joined. After a few visits I decided that I wanted to join as well. The staff was very nice and it seemed to be ""fat girl"" friendly. It has a womens only section, but it isnt really necessary to hide behind the wall, but its nice to be by yourself sometimes. Everyone there seems to be one big family, members and staff. I actually love going there, its clean and the machines/weights are easy to use and everyone is helpful. I think this is going to be a long term or life long commitment for me.Its nice to go to a place and FEEL accepted no matter what. Im proud to tell people that I go to Strength Beyond and will continue to recommend them to my friends and family. Keep up the good work guys!! <3
