IF YOU WANT A VET WHO PUTS CARE FIRST, DO NOT USE THIS VET!
We took our healthy 20-week-old kitten to Stenner Creek Animal Hospital to be neutered. The following days he seemed off. He displayed a lack of appetite, thirst and energy. This worsened and he felt hot and began to shiver. We took him back the office for a follow up. Before the Dr. came into the room to exam the kitten, one of his office staff (RVT Erin) queried us on ""how much could we pay today"". I asked, ""How much could we be looking at?"" Rather than answer my question she asked her question again. I gave a figure and stated that this was inappropriate timing for this conversation. I felt at the time if I had said $500, his procedure would cost $500; if I had said $700, our cost would have been $700.
The Dr. Examined the kitten and his diagnosis was that our kitten was bitten by our other kitten from the same litter and has an infection. The best course of action would be to give him an antibiotic via injection and to give him subcutaneous fluids. Afterwards the Dr. said if he is not getting better in 36 hours to call him right away. He did not get better; we called to arrange a follow up. The Drs. RVT ""Erin"" told us that the Dr. would not see our kitten until our balance was paid. She was rude to my wife and to me. Anytime we tried to ask a question she would interrupt and talk over us. My wife and I tried to have a rational conversation with this woman, however she just would not allow that to be. We asked to speak to the Dr. that was not an option; we inquired if she was the office manager, she replied
