Review content:
Oh my goodness. I have never had such bad service by a heating company. I woke up with no heat one morning and called Hometown because they were able to get to my house the quickest. My husband had mentioned that perhaps we lost power during the middle of the night and he (my husband) wondered if this was the problem. Our technician was nice... but very rushed and took my husband's diagnosis too much to heart. The technician pushed the button on our boiler system and left within minutes, charging us 100 dollars. We though, oh, bad luck on our part. Wish we had known it was so simple but we weren't upset. Well, an hour later our heat was off again. We called Hometown and they got to us for the second time in one day. This time the technician 1. blamed our usual heating company for not doing a thorough cleaning and 2. partially diagnosed the problem. Turns out that the problem was much more technical than a simple push of the button. The technician then charged us another 100 dollars and said he had to get home for dinner. We had no idea when he would be able to come back to finish the repair and again we were without heat after an hour of the technician leaving. So we paid 200 dollars for nothing! \r

Well, we called our old heating company who came over bright and early the next day, diagnosed the complete problem, drove to pick up the replacement parts and had our heat working within a few hours. Professional!\r

When we called Hometown to complain about paying 200 dollars for nothing we were met with rudeness and avoidance. We still have not received a single dollar back from Hometown and I am not holding out hope. So let this serve as a warning to you. Do not use this company!!!
