I tried to order an ice cream soda for my son (after we had hot dogs and lime rickeys there). What I ordered was a mocha soda, and for those who are unfamiliar: soda water, coffee syrup, chocolate syrup and ice cream. I was asked what I wanted for ice cream and said coffee and chocolate - as I have it made everywhere else (Brigham's for one) - and was told that was a virtual impossibility. Stunned, I asked why, and was told that they can't split up the scoop of ice cream. I thought they were kidding. So, I asked again, but was told repeatedly no, that I could have mocha chip instead. With two children (4 and 2) in tow, and being 8 months pregnant I really couldn't believe I was being denied this simple request. So, I left with nothing and then called the store and spoke to the manager. He knew exactly who I was and reinforced their no splitting of ice cream policy. Even after I told him they had lost a customer I got no form of compassion or regret. The only ""apology"" I got was in a sarcastic tone, something to the effect of, ""I'm sorry, but this is how we do it"". I was so upset and confused by the lack of reasoning and helpfulness-- so upset in fact that I will NOT go back there and have told all of my friends and acquaintances. And after all of that, my son didn't get his ice cream!!! Pros: cows Cons: lines, rude management
