We strongly believe in freedom of expression, even if a review contains unappealing or distasteful content or present negative viewpoints. The owners of the house we lived in decided to have a samp cooler installed while we were living there, just a month before our lease ended and we moved out. (A 1927 house with plaster walls and ceilings and no duct work.) * They had two people come over to give quotes on the project, one of whom made a huge mess after poking around the entrance to our attic and our attic fan. * They showed up without warning the day before they wanted to install it. (After my complaint about this I was told by management that they were under no requirement to give us 24 hours notice before coming over and it was simply a courtesy.) * They changed the scheduling of the project repeatedly without notifying us. * We were left with a huge mess to clean up -- plaster dust covered basically everything in our house. I expressed all these concerns to the company and was completely blown off. In addition to that incident we were forced to leave the house about 15+ times so they could show it before we vacated. (I work from home, this was NOT convenient.) When new tenants moved in they did not switch the water over to their names and it took repeated calls to Laureate to get them to deal with it. (And yes, they did try telling me it was my problem.) I will never rent from them again, nor would I recommend them to anyone else. Cons: A darn-near awful experience to rent through them
