Review content:
My daughter has a 98 VW Cabrio and needed a new radio. I had Car Tunes install a Kenwood radio in the car. It had a MP3 adaptor a CD player plus AM FM radio etc. While driving in the car I tried to get an AM station and couldn't get anything at all. I went back to Car Tunes and told them of the problem. They checked the car radio and a person named Chris told me that since they removed the VW radio I couldn't get AM stations because the antenna and radio were not compatible and the only way to get AM stations was to put in a VW radio of get SIRIUS . The owner John was only five feet away when this conversation took place. I left there thinking that there was nothing else I could do but for some reason I went to a PC Richards in Wantaugh where they do car radio installs, and spoke with a person named Pierre who was extremely helpful and told me that all I needed was an antenna booster made for VW's. He removed the old cable and installed the new one and I had all the FM and AM stations loud and clear. I immediately went back to Car Tunes and asked to speak with Chris but for whatever reason he couldn't talk to me. I then spoke with someone else and also with the owner named John who was present when Chris spoke with me initially. The out come was that they refunded the price of the cable they installed in error but without any apology whatsoever. I also plan to notify the radio manufacturer. With the economy the way it is you would think that people would do whatever it takes to keep you as a satisfied customer but I guess Car Tunes doesn't need my business nor yours.
Pros: Nothing Positive
Cons: Lied Right to My Face
