Review content:
If only I had read the previous review I would have avoided much agony for my son. Yesterday, we noticed that one of his baby teeth was cracked. I was able to walk-in to the Poinciana office for an emergency appointment. The first thing that upset me was that they do not allow parents to stay with their children! The reason I was given is because of the lack of privacy (one room hold 2 patients with just a divider in between them). They told me that once my son was assessed they would let me know what procedure was needed. After 1hr and 45 minutes the assistant came back out and gave me paperwork authorization the tooth extraction. I noticed there was not anything regarding anesthesia and asked why. She told me that the tooth was already loose and numbing pain wasn't necessary. After I signed the forms I waited another 45 minutes before she came out with my son. He was so anxious to get out of there that he ran to the car. I was able to look at his tooth and to my dismay...part of the tooth was still there! I rushed back in and the office personnel got the assistant to come back out. I showed her the piece of tooth that was still there and she said, ""It's probably just tissue. I'll take him back and have the doctor look at it."" Within a few minutes she returned with my son and said, ""Yeah, it's just tissue."" I removed the gauze from his mouth and not only was the piece gone but he was bleeding profusely. I showed her and she acted as if there was nothing there to begin with and that I was lying. She offered for me to see the dentist and I expressed my utmost disappointment having been there for nearly 3 hours and left. As soon as we got to the car my son explained everything in detail. He said it was the lady in black clothes (the dental assistant) that originally took out his tooth and when he went back for a second time it was a lady in white clothes (the doctor) that removed the piece that I showed them. He also said that while the doctor removed the second piece the dental assistant was standing there the whole time. Yet she had the nerve to tell me that the DOCTOR SAID it was just tissue when brought him back out the second time! There was no reason for her to 1) do it wrong the first time and 2) lie to me about it. I guess they didn't count on the fact that my son is 10 1/2 years old, is very observant, and has a good memory. I really don't appreciate the way this situation was handled and will be sending a complaint letter to their main office. AVOID GREENBERG DENTAL!\r
