Review content:
My whole life I have been an avid fan of exercise. I was walking several miles per week, but as I was finishing out my years of being forty I felt like I needed something more. I did not have the desire for high impact aerobics anymore and to be honest I was looking for something that could calm me with all the benefits of a weight room. I remember laughing at myself for even thinking that something like this existed. Not being familiar with yoga I did know that yoga was what I was looking for. I had driven by Yoga West for years and each time with curiosity. One day I stopped by and met Kristen, the owner, she told me a little bit about yoga and invited me to attend a week of free yoga. After my first day I was sold. So for my 50th birthday present I gave myself a membership. Just to show you how much yoga vocabulary I did not know....for weeks I thought the name of the instructor on Tuesdays was 'Vinyassa"" :) In three months will be my two year anniversary at Yoga West. There has not been a class that I have not enjoyed. I quickly learned that yoga is a journey experienced differently by everybody. Although I am new to yoga I never felt like a beginner. I have come a long way since my first wobbly down dog and look forward to the journey of a head stand someday. I also have to mention all the great guest instructors and special events that Yoga West hosts. There is always something fun going on and it is great to be a part of it. Pros: Class variety, instructors, convenient Cons: Fry Road can be a bit congested at times
