This place is really amazing. Great staff, great food, something you rarely find in Fremont. REAL BBQ is hard to come by in California and we're lucky to have real Arkansas BBQ right here in town. Everything about the place is very homey, they are friendly and courteous. The pulled pork is excellent, the potato salad is the best I think I've ever had, and there isn't anything on the menu not to love. The only thing I haven't tried is the fried catfish. And how many places serve fried okra? This place just feels american and its a fun place to eat.\r \r As others have noted, it takes time. There are funny slogans on the wall and one of them says something like ""Good food ain't fast, and fast food ain't good""... its true, they don't sugar coat it. If you have young children make sure to call ahead or have something for them to do. When I take my family we typically order 2 or 3 dinners and just share them among the table so we can enjoy a little of everything.\r \r My only critique really is that they do use a lot of sauce, but I don't know if that is typical of this style of BBQ or not. Despite that everything is smoked to perfection and you don't ever need a knife, the meat just slides off the bone. Pros: A real classic american dining experience with awesome food Cons: Make sure you have time to wait.
