Review content:
Terrific experience. I've been wearing glasses since I was 5 years old. Before my Lasik procedure, I had 20/400 vision. At my 1 week follow-up appointment, I was at 20/15! The entire staff at DEC is extremely professional and friendly. Their Lasik procedure room is really modern and sleek. Their equipment isn't even 1 year old yet. The procedure itself is really painless. I didn't feel any pain at all. They talk about feeling ""pressure"" during one part of the procedure, but I didn't feel a thing (and I'm kind of a wimp when it comes to pain!). The entire procedure lasted about an hour: 30 minutes to let the Valium set in + 15 minutes for the actual procedure + 10 minutes for the post-op exam. When I got home, I took a 4 hour nap (recommended by the doctors), then felt pretty drowsy all night, thanks to the Valiums. The next morning, I was able to read. At the day-after follow-up appointment, I was seeing at 20/15. If you're considering Lasik, I would highly recommend DEC. Doctors Sanders and Whelton are wonderful.
