Last night I took my family to this restaurant for a nice year-end meal. What we received was probably the worst restaurant experience in a ""fine dining"" establishment in many years. We were in the restaurant for over 2 1/2 hours. We were seated at a hibachi table by ourselves with 5 open seats. The ordering process took over 40 minutes. Now there was not a mad rush of people coming in, so we assumed when we ordered, our chef would come sometime soon. He did... 45 minutes later and after our table filled up with a family of 4 and they ordered (about an hour and half after our arrival).\r \r That by itself was not so bad, but the table next to us came in with a family of seven 45 minutes after we arrived and finished eating 40 minutes before. You do the math!\r \r We ordered an appetizer and two sushi orders plus our main meals. After 2 trips chasing the server down, appetizer came timely, but sushi came in shifts... 20 minutes apart. After 2 more trips chasing our server down and our chef came, he got one of our main orders wrong... forgot to bring a lighter to do the “onion volcano” and served vegetables last, after everybody had eaten their main meat order. \r \r Check served immediately upon receiving dessert. Go figure!! It will be my last dollar spent at Kegun Japanese Steakhouse. \r \r
