Businiess name:  Doma Japanese Restaurant

Review content:
Doma opened up this winter on the new ""restaurant block"" on Callowhill. I first noticed it when walking from Sabrina's to Kite & Key. I finally went in with my sister on a Saturday night to thank her for helping put together furniture and was so impressed I took friends there to celebrate a new job. \r \r Both times the appetizers were stellar - there was a stand out pork belly steamed bun and a sea urchin trio. Both times we also ordered the chef's tasting platter. The presentation was beautiful and the selection of fish was a little exotic - definitely some stuff I hadn't had before - but also good. I'm definitely partial to the chef's choice because I think you get something a little different and the best of the best. Our waitress was also very helpful and explained all of the pieces on the plate.\r \r If you don't have anything handy, there is a take out beer place on 20th St b/w Brandywine & Green where you can get Sapporo. \r \r It's nice to have another sushi option in the neighborhood - Umai Umai is still my favorite if I'm looking for a simple sushi and roll-centric meal. BUT, for a more gourmet sushi experience and an evening with great atmosphere, Doma's my choice. And even though I go here because it's in my neighborhood, I would recommend it as a destination - definitely worth travelling to. Pros: Excellent sushi, BYOB, in my neighborhood, decor & staff Cons: Small dining room, make a reservation on a weekend night
