Review content:
Several years ago, my cat came down with an ailment which I discovered is commonly called ""Fatty Liver"". Treatment is typically a 4-6 week nurse-to-recovery process. Dr. Kingrey's care always showed good instincts, tests for confirmation, consulting with specialists down the street at GVS ( Georgia Veterinary Specialists - a state-of-the-art pet hospital complete with cancer wing), and -most impressively- genuine care and concern for my ailing pet and myself as well. She would always thoroughly explain in her gentle and positive way what was going on, treatment options, recovery expectations, would address budget concerns, and answer any questions I had. She was excellent at making follow-up phone calls to me and to the specialists, always making sure that communication was shared and up-to-date. I could tell that she was not doing this simply because it was her job, but because she genuinely cared.
As part of my cat's recovery, I would have to take her to VCA for ""daycare"", as she needed to be manually fed through a tube every 2 hours, and I could not stay at home to do so. Staff there were always on top of any bobble in her recovery, and kept me informed of such.
Last month, this same cat developed an ominous jaw tumor. I had since her first illness moved to another part of town and taken up with a new vet more conveniently located. Suspecting that this tumor could be gravely serious, and that both my cat and myself would need comforting treatment, I made a point of going out of my way to return to Dr. Kingrey. I have experienced the exact same thorough, competent, caring attention as I did several years ago. The rapidly growing tumor is indeed cancer. There is absolutely no other place I would have my elderly and terminally ill cat be than in Dr. Kingrey's sensible & caring hands.
