I am currently having my home built by the Buchers in NW Indiana. I have heard all the building stories from so many collegues. All I can say is my process has been very enjoyable and fairly stress free. I am thrilled with the ideas and integrity I have seen from the Buchers and all their employees and sub contractors. The product is very good, which is important, but even more important is the relationships and trust this group has earned. I can see why they have weathered the downturn and their business has grown even during the terrible housing market. Today Dan humbly told me they currently have 12 homes under construction and they are already filling orders for 2013. Most other builders I know are working second jobs or scraping by. I think there is a reason these guys are so busy. It is obvious with their very fair pricing, high quality work, and great relationships with their customers. I would encourage anyone to build with them if they have the time for the project. From talking to Dan they are not really wanting to expand or take on more than they can personally oversee. I would highly recommend this company from my experience.
