Hands down, THE INDIAN GARDEN is the best place I have had Indian food in the US. I am originally from India, so I know Indian cooking and flavors. It was a very pleasant surprize to see an Indian restaurant bring the homely flavors and warmth to Indian dining. \r \r The decor is beautiful at this place, the location is very central to Michigan Ave., the food is SUPERB and the hostess is very warm, charming and friendly. She told us so much about Indian cooking and desserts.\r \r I would highly recommend this place, for a wonderful taste of Indian cooking, and a good time. If you are looking for Indian food in Chicago and bypass this place, you are missing something special. Pros: Food, service, hostess and warmth of the hostess, who is also the owner Cons: On first floor.
