Review content:
I'm a local Stillwater resident (my family and I have been for years) and have been to Joseph's quite a few times. I'm a good enough patron to have my daughter on the mailing list for the ""free"" (yeah right) birthday dessert ""up to $5."" The certificate has no restrictions on it (other than it can't be used for takeout), lists the pies that they have, and also recommends bringing the entire family out to enjoy the birthday. I did just that, taking my daughter and my parents out for a fairly pricey dinner considering the food. I tried to redeem the ""free"" dessert up to $5 and apply it to a purchase a pie that our whole family could share. The waitress then went on to tell me that she couldn't do that. WHAT? She then went and got the manager, (who turned out to be ""Joe Jr."") and I nicely explained the situation, explained that nowhere on the certificate does it say it can't be for a whole pie, and simply asked him if he could make an exception. I told him if he wouldn't allow it we just simply wouldn't get any dessert. HERE'S WHERE IT GETS FUNNY: Instead of MAKING AN ADDITIONAL $15 on us buying a whole pie, he actually refused our request to purchase the whole pie. WTF!?! In the meantime he's pissed off some locals who are now willing to take the time to write a review of the entire experience. I also plan on taking this up with Joe Sr. so he knows what a moron his son is. As they say...BUYER BEWARE!!!
P.S. Drive a half mile East on HWY 36 and go to the OASIS! MUCH better food and half the price!
Pros: What Pros?
Cons: Ownership, food, cost....should I continue?
