\r I am a single mom and I decided to take my entire family do see Dr. Winn that was a mistake. My children who had no cavities just 6 months before suddenly had cavities. Dr. Winn explained to me that my son had 16 cavities and they needed to be filled immediately and my daughter had 8. Then she told me what my insurance would cover and asked “how would I like to pay for the rest?” She wanted me to pay $7,500 out of pocket, what a shock. She spent the next 15 minutes telling me how much pain they would be in if it wasn’t done right away. I felt like a big looser. How could I let my kids suffer because I didn’t have the money. So I put it on my credit card. After all I trusted her I had been a patient several years and had a lot of work done. Until one of my crown fell out after 3 ½ years. She told me that she wasn’t responsible for it, after all she only guarantees for 3 years. Then I overheard her talking to her assistant about how she knew it was going to fall off for over two year and she was hoping it held out until her guarantee expired. That was it, integrity is important to me and it was something she was lacking.\r \r Now I wonder if my kids and myself have gone though unnecessary, extremely expensive and shotty dental procedures to help make her money, or if she is just not a great dentist? Either way I am gone.\r \r
