Review content:
Great Northern Guns or as I call them GNG, is the best gun store in Anchorage. Their knowledge on guns is exceptional and their customer service is good. The best thing about GNG is that they have a great used guns selection. Most of the time people go in almost every other day waiting for that pre-64 model 70 of their dreams to come in on a trade or consignment while others like me look for great deals on extraordinary guns that show up here and there. \r
\r
There are only three things that I don't like about the store that could use some improvement or change: First, the shop can tend to get crowded due to the small floor space which is unfortunate because you can only display so many guns at one time. If they could expand their shop that would be fantastic. Second, their mark-ups on new firearms is quite a bit, but the customer service usually makes up for the few extra dollars. Third, the one that bothers me the most is how they do trade-ins. One example is I traded in a model 94 angle eject that was in great shape. The blue book value was $225 and they say they usually give you half, which is fair on a trade-in. They gave me $100 and told me they would put a sticker price of $195 on the gun. Good deal right? It was until I came back in two days to notice that my gun was selling for $295!\r
Other than these few complaints, great store!
