Review content:
I have been going to Dr. Blackburn for several years, as I've been too lazy to change. I have had a number of bad colds in the last two years, always around a holiday. Whenever I've gotten a sinus infection, she has required me to come in for the office visit instead of calling in an antibiotic prescription. Tonight I called as another sinus infection has begun, and I'm going out of town. She refused to return my call, and instead told a Medical Assistant to decline my request to call in a prescription. I now have to drive 45 minutes at 7:30 p.m., which doesn't help my immune system. During my last cold, which developed into bronchitis, I didn't bother making an appointment as she is so uncomfortable prescribing narcotics. She has also prescribed anti-depressants for what turned out to be a hormonal imbalance, but she certainly never asked how they worked out. I have found her to be inflexible and limited in her scope. They do have late hours, for which I guess I'm grateful. I just wish I didn't have to use them during rush hour. I'll be changing providers with my new insurance in January.
Pros: Flexible hours
Cons: Inflexible staff
