Towson medical associates 1/16/2012

I have been a patient at Towson for many years. I was surprised to hear that I am not the only patient with the same complaints. Lori Oconnor is GREAT although it is to difficult to get in with her. The staff is a little on the rude side they dont speak to you and their record keeping is a mess I think that I payed twice for the same flu shot.Dr.Blackburn is ok although I feel that she really does'nt know me very well as a patient and after waiting sometimes for an hour I only see her for10 minutes. She did although think enough of me to refer me to a specialist Dr. Shomali whom I absolutely LOVE manage my.diabetes. more

Horrible Staff 11/1/2011

I tried going to Dr. Pamela Lin for a year and each time I went to the office the service got worse and worse. I understand that healthcare has gotten to the point that the doctors no longer care to get to know their patients but Dr. Lin was horrible. I would arrive at the office on time for my appointment, they have me wait usually in excess of 20 minutes before I am taken back, then I waited in a room for another 45 minutes while the nurses get lab results. Then she never could find my results so she tells me they will refund my $30 co-pay and they never have. They keep sending me bills for services I never received when I call them to have them print out itemized invoices the receptionist always tells me they won't print. The nurses are rude and inconsiderate. Actually tried to accuse me of never getting lab work done. When I went to another doctor they had no trouble pulling up the results from Lap Corp. I would strongly discourage you from going to the practice for medical care! more

Disappointed 11/25/2008

I have been going to Dr. Blackburn for several years, as I've been too lazy to change. I have had a number of bad colds in the last two years, always around a holiday. Whenever I've gotten a sinus infection, she has required me to come in for the office visit instead of calling in an antibiotic prescription. Tonight I called as another sinus infection has begun, and I'm going out of town. She refused to return my call, and instead told a Medical Assistant to decline my request to call in a prescription. I now have to drive 45 minutes at 7:30 p.m., which doesn't help my immune system. During my last cold, which developed into bronchitis, I didn't bother making an appointment as she is so uncomfortable prescribing narcotics. She has also prescribed anti-depressants for what turned out to be a hormonal imbalance, but she certainly never asked how they worked out. I have found her to be inflexible and limited in her scope. They do have late hours, for which I guess I'm grateful. I just wish I didn't have to use them during rush hour. I'll be changing providers with my new insurance in January. Pros: Flexible hours Cons: Inflexible staff more

Towson Medical Associates is the worst doctor's office I've ever been to 11/11/2008

On my first visit I was asked if I wanted to 'donate' a 'voluntary annual practice fee' to cover 'administrative costs'. It is voluntary because insurance companies will not allow them to require that. \r \r Additionally I went in with a serious problem that they did not test for, and referred me back to the doctor that sent me there in the first place.\r \r I will never go there again. I'd do better diagnosing and caring for myself. Pros: kinda new office, nice location more
