Review content:
The WORST customer service experience I've ever encountered in my 53 years. Tried to blame me for problems they created (I ended up taking my $90K Audi A8L to another shop, who confirmed what these morons did and have pictures to prove it). A simple crash repair that would have taken a reputable shop a couple of days took these clowns 3 visits and about 4 weeks. Their insolent "customer service rep" suggested that it was a "coincidence" that the OBD generated a bunch of codes the instant the ignition was turned on and nearly engaged me in a fight. It turned out that they had failed to plug in a connector under the seat. When making a turn entering the 395 on-ramp, my rear door opened and my daughter would have been thrown out on the road had she not been wearing her seat belt. This resulted from Gilson's repair of the door latching linkage that included duct tape used to hold the linkage away from the window track - when the window was rolled down, it caught the door latch and opened the door. EVERY component of this experience was unprofessional and even confrontational. I currently own an engineering firm and am highly qualified to make these statements. STAY AWAY, unless you enjoy shoddy workmanship and incredibly high levels of stress! RESPONSE FROM Gilson Auto Body Reno Sparks: After reading your review, as a representative of Gilson Auto Body I was quite shocked and the severity of your disappointment. It appears as though your vehicle was repaired back in 2009. Since your repair there has been a magnitude of changes in staff. I do apologize for the frustration you incurred. If ever in the future you are in need of service we would like to have the opportunity to be given another chance to show you how we have greatly improved our management as well as our customer service.
