Review content:
My two year old rescued Yorkie/Bichon was back and forth to various Veterinarians for lethargy, lack of appetite and vomiting. My husband and I remembered Dr. Maleleo who worked at Bay Street Animal Hospital. We called there, and it was no surprise to us that they had no idea where he was. We found out that he opened the Pleasant Plains Animal Hospital, and although it is quite a distance from our house, we brought our dog there. Through a simple blood test we found out that Baci's liver was not functioning properly. Dr. Meleleo put him on supplements and vitamin enriched food. Baci was back to his old self almost immediately. I am so thankful that we tracked Dr. Meleleo down because a few years ago, my sisters's rescued Yorkie had to be put down at three years old due to liver failure. Dr. Meleleo explained in detail the illness and the treatment. He even draws diagrams, if need be. In the past, at other Veterinarian offices I felt that I was being charged unnecessarily for tests that were not needed. Do not hesitate to use Dr. Meleleo. He is kind, compassionate, knowledgeable and he has an immaculate, state of the art facility, with a friendly caring staff.
