For birds (cockatiels and parakeets) I think they are good. My cockatiel was lovely, very lively and easy to train--clearly she'd been well cared for by the breeder, and I am almost certain the owner breeds cockatiels. \r

After 8 happy years, she passed away, likely because of something to do with egg-laying, but she hadn't seemed sickly, and I was very sad. \r

I just got a baby parakeet, and it died over night. :( \r
I will return today, and ask them to give me a new one. I agree that the place is run like an old-time mafia-front, but I believe that the birds are healthy and the new parakeet was probably too cold last night. I hope that they will be kind and give me a new one without charging again.
