THIS IS A REVIEW OF ""SABOR"" AS A NIGHTCLUB ONLY. A friend and I attended the nightlife at Sabor last night 8/2/08. We did not dine there. There is no dancing music until 11:30 p.m. The parking lot is small and the parking is valet (95% of the parking is at a lot down the street). The club is small; the outside tables looked ok but cramped with people. Inside the club, No Room to Move; the dance floor is small and could not accomodate the number of dancers. The D.J. is placed directly on the floor which, with his equipment, takes up too much space. We were forced to squeeze (body to body) past people all night to get from one place to another. We were told to move our location 4 times; the people were 3-rows deep at the bar trying to get drinks and only two bartenders, who I must say worked like machines to fill everyone's orders. Small, small bar also. It was difficult to find a place to sit . While we like the music, Latino dancing needs space because of the swirls and movement. There was just no space to be had and consequently, we were knocked into and stepped on all night long [and someone spilled his drink on me- typical when there is crowding]. We left early to avoid the anticipated crush trying to get our cars from valet when the whole place emptied out. We feel since they draw a large nightclub/dancing crowd, they really need to expand the size of this club to accomodate the comfort and function of its patrons. One drink, Kaluah & milk was $8., one beer, Corona was $5. We might try it someday for a dinner (if we are already in the area) but will not return for the dancing. Besides, the location is hard to find for out-of-towners and there are three towns listed on the sites, Cliffside Park, North Bergen and Edgewater for this particular club. Will someone please decide in which town you are actually located? Sorry, but if you want to take in the money from the nightclub crowd, you really need to do something to make it more comfortable for them.
