Urth Cafe contradicts so many stereotypes synonymonus with eateries in Los Angeles...except for one: the beautiful people.
The food is always fresh, well priced and rather ecclectic. The coffee concoctions are not only tasty but beautifully presented with a whisp of decorative froth atop a bowl-size mug full of luscious java. The service is so prompt and well managed that tipping feels totally appropriate as opposed to obligatory.
Dress code: anything that makes you look like you just came from a combination yoga class/Neiman Marcus makeover. Even the leashes for the dogs tied to the rails are designer.
Pros: Service, Great coffee, casual atmosphere
