I'm a pretty big fan of Speranza. The atmosphere is at once happening, romantic and intimate. If you dig the Bay Area's sort of original, free-spirit mentality, you'll feel right at home here among the their hodge-podge of creative touches and charming, attitude-free ways. The small, friendly staff is laidback, unpretentious and genuinely pleased to see and serve you. Meanwhile, the retro, electronic and reverb-heavy song selection is top-notch and, rather than distracting, actually adds to the cool appeal. The $4 extra bucks for homemade pasta is absolutely worth it. Love it.
