Great Outdoor, Casual Italian 10/28/2009

After a year in Silverlake I'm sad to move away from this East Side gem. The outdoor seating is fantastic and beats the smaller interior dining room. You can never go wrong with the house pasta (despite a little increase in price) and you can BYOB from Bogie's Liquor right across the street. Pros: Homemade Pasta more

Very romantic and chill 2/9/2009

I'm a pretty big fan of Speranza. The atmosphere is at once happening, romantic and intimate. If you dig the Bay Area's sort of original, free-spirit mentality, you'll feel right at home here among the their hodge-podge of creative touches and charming, attitude-free ways. The small, friendly staff is laidback, unpretentious and genuinely pleased to see and serve you. Meanwhile, the retro, electronic and reverb-heavy song selection is top-notch and, rather than distracting, actually adds to the cool appeal. The $4 extra bucks for homemade pasta is absolutely worth it. Love it. Pros: Atmosphere more

Looks uninviting from the outside in an industrial looking building, but once you are in it's very neighborhoody. Pros: great food, homemade pasta, atmosphere more

Bohemian Hidden Gem 4/3/2008

I totally agree with the reviewer. Very cool, romantic, bohemian setting. Lots of personal touches which makes you feel at home. The food is solid but not impressive. The staff is amazing. Another great place to visit in Silver Lake. I would definitely go back. more
