Nice ambience, nice art on the walls, nice eclectic menu with nice prices.\r

Not nice: a disgusting long brown hair in my Smoked Tofu salad. The salad was disappointing before I found the hair. The tofu was over cooked, dry and tasteless. Luckily, there were only two miserly pieces of the stuff. The beets were fine. The arugula was fresh, however the sherry vinaigrette salad dressing was excessively salty (I like salty) and this was overdone.\r

Our server did take the salad off the bill which was the appropriate thing to do. However, an apology and an offer to prepare something would have been a nice gesture.\r

Would be nice to see the person in the kitchen wearing a hairnet…\r

The stars are awarded for outward appearances. What counts is the quality of the food and the service and I was really disappointed in both.
