The best New York Deli Sandwiches in Shelby NC. Phyllis Winter started the ""Winter House: in 1971. Due to bad health she sold it in 2002. Wihich means she had a sucessfull business for 31 years.\r

Now her daughter, Elizabeth Winter was able to buy back her dream of owning ""The Deli"" in Jan, 2011. She has brought back all her Mom's favorite recipes.\r

Phyllis was born in Erie PA. Shelby may not have been ready for this new type of food in 1971. However Elizabeth carriers the recipes and fond memories of working in the Deli. Atmophere..""Cheers"" ""You want to go where everyone knows your name!""\r

Still working on the website: www.winterhouse shelby.. Here people can place and pay for orders on line, the phone will ring at ""The Winter House"" to notify them of the order, special instruction etc, and the order will be prinited out on the fax machine.Pretty neat.\r

This will help if you are in a hurry, have only 30 minutes for lunch or for business last minute buisness meetings.\r
