Elizabeth Winter is back in the kitchen and the food is great! Just like it used to be when her Mother owned it! Yum! My favorite is the Mcloud Special on french bread.! It has Roast beef, Turkey, Corn Beef, Ham, with 3 cheeses, provolone, and sharp chedder, heated and melts in my mouth! 5/7/2011

The food at the Winter House is great. My favorite is the Mcloud Special, and The Wilted Lettuce with hot bacon dressing. The staff is friendly and the orders come out fast! They have a website that is so easy to order on line! It is www.winterhouseshelby.com . This has made my life so easy. And they deliver! So glad to see you back Elizabeth! more

The Winter House 4/14/2006

I love going to the Winter House because they are the best. I have only gone a few times, but it was well worth it. I got a sandwich and coffee each time, and I loved it. In fact, I will be going back soon. I love going there for a quick bite to eat. They are located next to Jackson and Hewitt Taxes on East Marion Street just down from 5 East Restaurant. The employee I see is very nice and kind. Parking? You can park in the street, but I believe you might also park around the court square. If you do that, you'll have to walk across the road. more

Winter House 3/19/2006

The Winter House is a great place to go for a sandwich and coffee. I like going in there for lunch. It's inexpensive and really convenient. They have a small menu, and I like service as well. The employees are kind and kind and very courteous. They are willing to help you if they can with your dietary needs. They have been in business for a long time, and that says a lot. The Winter House is locally owned and operated, and that is another reason I like going there. I'll be a customer for a long time. more
