Review content:
I am a beginner to Yoga and took my first class last Monday. I was SO impressed w/the facility and the homelyness of the staff and enviroment. The floor board is a heated dark wood and all the materials (ie. toilet paper, tissue paper, garbage bags, hand towels) are recycled. It truly is a green space which is such an important factor if you're practicing w/those who practice peace. The teacher's name was Beth and it was an All Levels class. She was very soothing for my first class and made sure that I was doing the correct poses and forms. The cool thing was that she wouldn't single me out, if she saw me doing something a bit off or a confused look on my face she would speak to the entire class as if it could be anyone in the class needing assistance. I've heard of yoga works and it sounds like a yoga machine whereas HSY is a school. I know class sizes @ yoga works are fairly large and at HSY they are kept small so that you don't get lost in a sea of people, so that they can help you grow and reach further.\r
I came out amazed that I had just spent two hours stretching and breathing, releasing and resting. It truly was a rest for my mind and I will definitely continue practicing there!
Pros: IT'S A GREEN FACILITY!!!
Cons: Parking is a bit difficult on certain evenings, and it's an interesting find on 6th- there's a sign but you have to really look
