Review content:
I had my first born son March 2009, midwife Karen delivered by C-section, along with the Dr. from the Florida Women's Care office. Through my pregnancy, midwives Michelle and Karen were friendly, knowledgeable, genuinely excited for me, and always answered my questions. I saw Dr. Torres once in my 5th month of pregnancy and never again. But that was OKAY! Dr. Patel saw me quite a few times, and she's excellant!!
Cons-the office staff can be VERY rude all except two girls. But the woman who's usually there at the window, has been very rude to me every time and lied to me twice. 1st time, she told me that Medicaid had NOT changed my name to my new married name (even though I had JUST talked to Medicaid and they had) which then caused a problem with the hospital called to tell them that their patient was in labor, and the lady says, ""we dont have that patient"" OH YEAH! That's because they won't change my last name! and the second time, well, I showed up for an appointment and she told me that they had cancelled it, some ""new"" policy that got started back in January that they didn't make appointments on friday afternoons...wait...she made my appointment back in April...I guess she didn't remember WHEN that policy started.
So yeah, show up 30 min early to your first appointment to fill out paperwork, or else they WILL turn you away.
But once you get past the office ladies, you'll LOVE the women that actually make a difference for you, your health, and your baby:)
Pros: Midwives and Dr. Patel are Smart, Friendly and Genuine!
Cons: Won't see Dr. Torres hardly/ Rude office ladies!
