My friends and I scheduled a group party 2 months in advance for this weekend, and were overbooked and cheated out of our full reservations. When I went to get the facial that was what was left of our menu of services we had planned for, I was told (after a one-hour drive) that they only had space for me to get a 30 minute facial instead of a 60 minute, and the whole trouble was blamed on my friend who did the booking for our group. They said that she hadn't booked anything at all until the day before, which was a lie, as was the part where they said that i was the one in the group who was only supposed to get the 30minute facial, when she had volunteered to take the short one herself.\r Then they told my other friend and me that we needed to pay for our services out of pocket that day, even though the deposit we made months before more than covered the cost of the services. (They even showed us an invalid check from some woman we had never heard of who allegedly made the payment for us, when our friend who did the booking gave a credit card.)\r My friend who did the booking was home with a sick baby, so they just blamed all of the ""miscommunication"" on her, and kept saying that she didn't schedule anything for us until the day before, and that her deposit was made to another Aveda salon somewhere else and was refunded. ALL LIES. \r I was so terribly angry that they just exploited the fact that she wasn't there to confront them with what really happened, basically taking advantage of her sick child. \r \r We went to them because my friend had heard good things about their skill, and they had such good prices, but we learned a hard lesson that it would have been worthwhile to spend more money to actually be treated well and to get what we asked for somewhere else.\r \r The 30minute facial was nice, but not worth the trouble. Pros: nice facial, you get to pick your aroma "flavor" Cons: horrible customer service
