I was tired of paying $50+ for a haircut and decided to give this place a try. (By the way, they are now located at 19241 David Memorial Dr. near The Woodlands). It seems they have improved their service since the previous reviews, and possibly going during the weekday makes a difference. When I called to make an appointment there were plenty of openings and when I arrived I was seen on time. The salon is very nice inside and the staff is friendly. The students are in training so they take their time....My haircut and style took almost 2 hours. I received a wash cut & dry for $12. The products used were Aveda. The young lady cutting my hair did a nice job and her instructor checked her work throughout the cut. The blow-dry/style wasn't normally how I do it, but how often does the blow-dry/style turn out the way you would do it yourself anyway (good or bad)? I had a pedicure afterwards. It was a full pedicure with leg and foot massage that took place in a separate area just for pedicures, and it lasted about 1 hour ($14). Again, it was overseen by an instructor and my toes turned out nicer than when I've had them done by more experienced cosmetologists. I would recommend this place to anyone who isn't too fanatical about their hair and to anyone that has the extra time to spend on pampering themselves a bit. I'll be going back to try out some of their other services. In my opinion, the $12 haircut was an excellent value for the money compared to my normal $50 cuts, and I am now kicking myself for previously spending $30+ for pedicures when I can get the same if not better for less than 1/2 the price at this place. Pros: Atmosphere, products, service, value Cons: Not for people on a tight schedule
