Review content:
Champagne built our pool several years ago. It was the first pool we ever built and we trusted them to provide us with what we were looking for - good quality pool, standard pool equipment (i.e. not top of the line) and good customer service. For the most part we have been happy with the pool. We did have some drainage issues after the pool was built. Unfortunately, their customer service leaves a lot to be desired and it took several months, dozens of calls and a complaint with the BBB to get resolved.
Recently I had another pool company out to service our system. Not fully trusting them I decided to have a third company come out. Both told me the exact same thing.
1. Our salt water system was installed incorrectly.
2. Our pool filter was designed for pools 3-4 times larger than our pool.
3. The heater for the spa was missing a vent cap which prevents rain water from entering the unit. As a result, the inside of the heater had rusted badly (The reason for the service call was primarily to fix the heater which was not working).
4. The finish on the pool bottom was not done correctly. We have been have staining issues for years.
To have these items fixed will cost thousands of dollars. Not sure how I am going to proceed but wanted to warn others about Champagne Pools. They claim to be experts but are not. They claim to have great customer service but do not. We trusted them to build us a pool meeting our expectations and they took advantage of our inexperience by selling us overpriced, oversized equipment. There are better pool companies out there!! Don't make the same mistake we did.
