Review content:
Went on a busy Saturday morning, so I expected to wait, but it was annoying for the young employees to be standing around gossiping within earshot of the patients. I was fitted for contacts and given test contacts. I was not given the correct information that I needed to return in a week before they would ""order my contacts"". My father died the next week, so there was a delay in returning to check my fit. When I did return, I let them know that the left contact did not fit at all. I asked them if it was for astigmatism, because that is what I've always had. No, it wasn't (wasn't this something that they should have known after examination?) and of course they didn't have that one in stock. They had to order another test contact. I had to wait another week for it to arrive, and now that it's finally in, I'm working out of state and can't get in until Saturday. This means another week for testing the contact and then an additional 7-10 days for them to order and receive the contacts.
It's frustrating, my initial exam was on January 7, 2012. Now, after all of the delays, the majority of which were due to the Doctor's office; I will not be getting my contacts until March.
Plus, they called to tell me they needed my vision insurance information and when my wife called to give them that info; she was told that they didn't need it, they already had it. ???
I'll find another optometrist next time I am due for an exam.
