I am rarely wowed by restaurants. Many are very good, but not wowed. B hlt a home run. We had the seared scallops as an appetizer, and they were wonderful. The brined pork chop was the best pork chop I have ever eaten. Two inches thick and every bite was juicy. We also had the roast quail, which was very good, but not as absolutely wonderful as the pork chop. The portion size was very good. Finished with the chocolate mousse with pumpkin seed brittle, and I am looking for the words to describe this dessert. ""Out of this world"" and ""Nervana"" seem trite, but only begin to describe it. When I'm in Oakland, B is my new spot.
