Review content:
I have 30 years experience with hunting dogs, took mine in for cheet grass in the ear, should be an easy removal. The ""vet' did not introduce herself, wore no badge of identification, horrible bed side. Wanted to take my dog to the ""exam room"". (First red flag) I asked that the cheet be removed in my presence. Heavy sigh from Lori Stokes DVM, she brought back the tools, but fumbled with them at the counter as if she wasn't sure what to do (2nd red flag), some were clearly too long and not appropriate for a Brittany. I held my trusting dog while she made a stab at it, litterally, came up with nothing...suggested she bring in assitants to hold my dog down on her side (3rd red flag!) and if that didn't work, she suggested sedation. (NOT HAPPENING!) For a seed in her ear!!! I told her that never before have I had a vet miss on the first try , let alone the RISK and EXPENSE of sedation. This place is horribly understaffed by young want-to-be's and is not supervised by professionals. I was there at 5:40 pm and Lori Stokes advised me that she was the only ""vet"" on duty. They are open until 9pm...PLEASE do not take your pets there after hours. TAKE THEM TO THE REAL EMERGENCY CLINIC ON MISSION AND RUBY. This place needs to be shut down. I am also writingt to the DVM Board!
