Review content:
I lived in the Lakeside area as a child - Roy was still alive and used to walk around giving lollipops to the kids. The building is the same, the parking lot - same - the few concret picnic tables - same. For those of us who went there as a child you kinda get used to it and it is more nostalgia then the actual food. The place has gone down hill. The burgers used to be tasty - greasy - just plain good! That was back in the day when that skinny man with barely there shoe polish black hair was the cook. \r
\r
Today - the taste of the meat is non existent and dry. The toppings are fresh and it is still a joy, as an adult, to watch them put the burgers together. The fries are so so - but their ICE rocks - that old fashioned small ice that will not break off a tooth when you crunch on it!\r
\r
Try it just to say been there done that, but dont expect much. There are way to many other places these days where you can get an awesome burger.
Pros: Ambience - old fashioned
Cons: The taste has gone way down hill
