I used American Chimney for many years without any problem. Last month I called to schedule a fireplace cleaning and inspection as well as a look at a leak we discovered. I called several times during normal working hours but there was never anyone to answer the phone and the voicemail was ALWAYS full. Just as I was about ready to give up I finally got someone and scheduled an appointment. No one showed up! I called to see if I had misunderstood the appointment day or time but no one answered. This time I was able to leave a message, though. Can you believe that no one has called me back? This was weeks ago! I am shocked. You would think with the recession companies would have some level of customer service to retain repeat customers. I have instead contracted with The Fireplace Doctor, my fingers are crossed. Save yourself the time and stress and go with another company.
