grinninjen I am so glad I read your review. I was just about to go set up an account with Fitness One and what I have just read about your experience totaly made me change my mind. These gyms are BAD BAD BAD!!! when they don't let you cancel. The same thing happened to me at LA Fitness when I tried to cancel because I had moved and the location was not working for me. They all make you pay the first and last month's bill at the begining when you sign up, and then at the end they charge you for 2 extra months after you cancel!! What a RIDICULOUS thing!!! My husband and I have been thinking about doing a home gym b/c we have plenty of room and that way I won't have to deal with LAME CUSTOMER SERVICE from any FITNESS ONE or LA FITNESS. They are all nice as long as you stay with them, and they promise you that when you want to cancel it will be very easy but they really make it a living hell. The best experience that I have had with a gym was Bally's Total Fitness, because I signed a two year contract with 30 days guarantee. I never had any problems because I went for the whole 2 years after which I had no obligation to pay anymore, and they always sent discounts for monthly memberships. This wont work if you know you'll stop going within 2 yrs. Good luck to everyone with fining a good loyal Fitness place.
