Review content:
I have to differ with the person who gave this restaurant a ""so-so"" review. First, a little history. This place opened as a George Lindsey's steakhouse in the late 60s. My family started eating there when it opened as Sachi Steakhouse in the early 70s. Here it is in the 2000s and this is my family's favorite place to eat, especially for special occasions. Their fried rice is absolutely the BEST. We have been to Japanese restaurants from Los Angeles to Boston and have not had a better meal than here. No other Japanese restaurant we have been to has the salad dressing that they serve here. I have dreamed about it. We have overheard visitors from Japan say that this is the most authentic Japanese food they have had in the States. We order our steaks medium-rare and they have always turned out great. That's because the chef has you try your individual steak before he serves it to make sure it is the way you like it. Candy has been there for almost as long as we have eaten there and I remember when Harold first started working there. I love my Nagasaki Steak House!
Pros: Friendly staff, excellent food
Cons: Decor needs updating
