Review content:
Just spent a hugely enjoyable Wednesday night here.\r
\r
The place was packed...Always a good sign. The selection of wines from the bottle was amongst the best in Houston (and would stand up to most of the best restaurants). The ambience was perfect (to my tastes). Very acceptable noise levels, eclectic 'off the grid' music using familiar but never predictable material. An excellent private area which we utilised for an informal business meeting and top class European cheeses and olives which went down extremely well along with a 'gourmet pizza' selection delivered from next door.\r
\r
The decor is extremely tasteful, mixing wood textures with slate and modern fittings in a manner which would be best described as comfortable without being too sanitised.\r
\r
Staff were excellent, we were served promptly and efficently all evening by people with a good knowledge of wine (and coffee) and the owner took a personal interest that our needs were attended to.\r
\r
This place makes you feel a little special, and that is a rare thing...
Pros: Amazing selection of wines, great ambience...
Cons: You could spend far too much time here :)
