I heard about this place from a friend and decided to check it out on my way to another store in the strip mall when I saw the banner for happy hour ""$5 off a bottle"" not sure what the rest was but I knew it ended at 6:00 pm. I checked my cell phone (satellite time) and it was 5:57 pm when I parked. I went in and the place was not packed but not empty either. I stood at the bar for at least 3-4 minutes when the owner imerged from the back. I asked him if I missed happy hour and he said ""yes, you just missed it."" Knowing that I was standing there patiently when he came from the back and not just running in the door, I would have given the ""new"" customer the benefit of the doubt and said, ""well it is 6:02 but what would you like."" Instead he let me walk right out the door. If I were him I would not get so comfortable as to let a potential regular, loyal wine loving customer out the door for good on a ""technical foul."" In a time when gas is approaching $4 a gallon, luxuries will go first. Or was I dreaming that Starbucks is in trouble? Just not the way I would do business. That 2 minute ""grace period"" could have turned into much more business, oh and don't forget referrals. hmmmm.
Pros: Nice atmosphere
Cons: Inflexible
