I have nothing but good things to say about The Laptop Guy. I am a college student in her last semester, and I started student teaching three weeks ago when my laptop broke. I tripped over the charger cord and the little dc jack pin snapped off. What seemed like it would be a simple repair turned into a nightmare as I called around to every computer place, Geek Squad, and repair shop in the area and was quoted $400-800 dollars for the repair. Everyone said I needed a new motherboard, which basically means that you might as well buy a new laptop. Not wanting to give up on my trusty laptop, I surfed online to look at different repair places (had to use my Wii !). I followed my instincts after reviewing The Laptop Guy's website because they seemed like real people that I could trust (Zoe, too!). After receiving a very reasonable quote, I decided to go with them and filled out the service order request. They sent me a box with special padding and the mailing, diagnosis, and feedback only took about a week, Not only did they completely fix the jack (without a new motherboard!), they threw in several cosmetic repairs for free. The Laptop Guy offered friendly feedback over the phone and by email to let me know what was going on, and there is a one year warranty on the repair. I cannot thank the laptop guy enough for their help, I am now typing this on my newly repaired laptop I received by insured UPS yesterday. I would recommend The Laptop Guy team to anyone!
