Review content:
I'm a Brookside resident here in Kansas City. This shop is in my neighbor hood, but here's the deal. My car is a 2005 model with just over 55,000 miles. I needed the standard $12 inspection that most shops will see you on-the-spot. These guys insisted that I needed an appointment. Because of little flexibility in my schedule, I made an appointment.
Problem 1: I was then told I needed a new windshield otherwise my car would not pass state inspection standards. I had a small hairline-crack in the very bottom of the passenger's side. I debated on the phone, but was told I needed to have it if I was to pass inspection.
Problem 2: They also said I needed new brakepads. I probably did. But they've squealed ever since I got them.
Problem 3: I've had transmission problems since my appt with this shop. Prior to this appt, I've always taken my car to dealerships servicing this make.
I won't be going back for service. Ever. I was charged roughly $500 to $600 for the work. I had always purchased my gas at this shop because I felt it best to support the little guy. Sadly, I now feel that they've taken advantage of one of their best customers. I am no longer a fan of these guys.
Pros: Convenient for Brookside residents. Gas station.
Cons: Poor, slow service.
