Review content:
I hate to write a negative review but it doesn't take too much to sour me if I have a bad experience somewhere. I've done business with Bailey Brothers Music twice. The first time was when I purchased a headphone amp and couple of other small items. One of the items was on clearance and priced at a discount. I realized after I'd almost gotten home that they charged me full price for it. (partly my fault) When I returned the item, I didn't even get as much as a ""sorry bout' that dude"". I recently talked with one of their reps about trading a keyboard amp for a pair of monitors. He told me they were' out of the box which led me to believe they were demos or used. He told me what days he'd be there that week. I showed up and of course he wasn't there. Two other employees offered to ""help"" me with a possible trade in. They told me they could offer me a credit for my trade in on the pair of monitors...after looking the amp up online to see what the street price was. (I suppose) Here's the real kicker. The price they we're offering me on these monitors was the SAME price that I could order them off of Ebay..new (not used) shipped to my door with free shipping without having trade anything. It seems to me they we're just trying to SCAM me out of my item. Now I do understand that trade ins are worth far less than you originally pay for them. Especially at specialty stores such as bike shops and music stores. They have to make a profit. But this was ridiculous. When they told me what they could sell the amp for, I didn't believe it. In fact, I didn't even want to haggle with them. When I realized what they we're trying to do, I just left. It disgusts me when people are dishonest and treat you like you're stupid. I won't be back unless its to try out a piece of gear so I can order it online later and save a lot of money. I purchased the monitors on Ebay and kept my amp. I couldn't be happier NOT doing business with them.
